Ryan Airline Act of Charity

Ryan Airline has given a cheque of $ 100,000 to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The $ 100,000 was the proceeds of the year 2014 sales of Ryan Air charity calendars.

Ryan Air is a low cost airline operating in the UK. The cheque was presented to the Teenage Cancer Trust by Robin Kelly, on behalf of the airline. This year, the airline sold ten thousand copies of its cabin crew charity calendars. The airline had received over four hundred charity applications from which Teenage Cancer Trust was selected to receive the amount.

Teenage Cancer Trust will use the proceeds received from the sale of the charity calendars in supporting their over twenty seven specialist units which cater for the young people diagnosed with cancer in the UK. The year 2014 calendar which had thirteen of the airlines cabin crew was a huge success as they sold a record high of a $100,000 within a short period of time. The airlines charity program has managed to raise over seven hundred thousand dollars since year 2008.

Receiving the money on behalf of teenage cancer trust, MS Louise said that she was very grateful that Ryan Airline had selected the Teenage Cancer Trust to receive the year 2014 sale proceeds of its charity calendars. She also thanked the airlines cabin crew for their devotion and hard work manifested in the sale of the calendars.

She added that the money received from the airline would be used to continue the trust’s work with the young people in the UK with cancer. The airline has indicated that it shall continue with its charity program every year and will continue to help young people with cancer in the UK through various programs.

The airline management also thanked its customers for supporting the program by buying the charity calendars. Next year, the airline targets to raise more money which will be directed to charity.
