Dundee Airport operator managing director has announced that Logan air will be offering a new transport service between Dundee and Stansted airports. He confirmed that Logan air will operate twice daily on the weekdays and once on a Sunday beginning March 30th, 2014.
City jet, which has been offering services to London city, is set to withdraw its Services by the end of March this year.
Mr. Inglis Lyon says that thanks to the partnership between Logan air and Dundee airport, they will be able to continue offering transport services to London city. He added that Stansted was indeed a good choice because it has a variety of airline choices and more destinations on offer at London City Airport. London Stansted is one of the busiest airports in the UK. It is a major hub for cost effective airlines and serves up to 140 destinations across the world.
After weeks of negotiations between the airport operator HIAL, the city council and the airline, they were able to agree to use a 32 seat Dornier 328 turboprop aircraft.
The scheduled flights target the business people; it makes it easy for them to access central London and even Liverpool early in the morning. Leisure- related travelers will also be able to enjoy the advantage of flight connections at London Stansted.
The Chief operating officer at Logan air expressed enthusiasm on the new partnership and the new Scottish route.
“This route is very crucial to the city of Dundee and we believe years of aviation experience will help ensure the service to and from Stansted Airport gets off perfectly” he added.
