SPIE UK AWARDED PHASE TWO OF TRANSFORMATION PROJECT AT STANSTED

Stansted airport has hired building division of SPIE UK to construct the second terminal transformation project. A project that will lead to the construction of 46 new retail outlet units which will be completed in three phases. The earlier phase of the transformation saw to it a completion of a magnificent security area at Stansted. The completion of this project promises a complete makeover to the international departure lounge. There will also be well designed seating areas and a variety of shops and restaurants for the customers using the terminal.

Stansted head of development and construction said that the company had been awarded the tender because of their history of good and quality work in the industry. Having a strong performance track record, delivering in good time and within the budget are some of the qualities the SPIE is known to posses. Matt Allen said that he was confident that the company would not fail to impress given its known construction reputation in the aviation industry.

As part of phase two of the transformation project. The company will provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing and construction services to Stansted airport. Their goal is to revamp the retail space at the terminal. The transformation project is aimed at giving passengers a luxurious customer experience while landing and departing from the airport. SPIE UK CEO said that it was a great honour for his company to be awarded the project. He added that the project was a good opportunity to further enhance the company’s vast experience in the aviation industry. He added that the building company would support Stansted in its development project that will see to it that passenger passing through the airport have a retail experience that is second to none.
