British Airways is taking the training of the pilots of its new fleet of Boeing 787 Dream liners to the skies over Yorkshire. The pilots who are on eight day exercises will fly the Dreamliner to as low as 200 feet over the Leeds Bradford International airports runway.
Although it will not touch down, followers of the aviation industry and aircraft lovers will have an opportunity to see the dream liner up close as it cruises at these low altitudes. The team that is being trained on the highly advanced plane can handle a myriad of emergency problems that require extensive training routines to perfect and keep them ready for any eventuality.
Leeds Bradford Airport’s director for development of aviation welcomed the arrival of the new plane to the skies above the airport. It would give their passengers a glimpse of the plane that most of them who are connecting to British Airways far destinations through Heathrow would have an opportunity to fly on. Travellers connecting to USA, China and India or those flying to Chengdu, Austin and Toronto and other destinations will have a chance to fly on a 787 British Airways Dreamliner.
Benefits offered by the Dreamliner are Huge: A super quiet cabin pressurized at 6000 feet ensures regular travellers can get to business right after disembarking without fatigue, jetlag and minor illnesses associated with flying.
The plane mimics ground conditions by having a higher humidity and fresher air through its double stage filtration system. Eliminating disturbances caused by deodorant and hand wipes and effects such as nausea that come with dry air inhalation.
Larger upsized windows, 60% larger than those on any other civilian plane, create comfort coupled with better views. This is in addition to the sky interior by Boeing affording travellers more headroom and larger storage space for their luggage.
