Monarch Spreads its Wings with Additional Routes

Recently, Monarch Airlines announced they have added two new routes from Luton Airport direct to Porto and Stockholm. Announcements like this are beginning to become a regular occurrence, especially among smaller airlines. It seems the demand for short haul flights is growing, and the capacity is available at airports people would have overlooked in the past.

Monarch Airlines is a popular airline with British tourists, with their affordable prices and accessibility out of Luton airport. With increasing demand and the competition to keep flight costs down, Monarch is remaining competitive with the addition of flights to popular European destinations. It seems despite the fears of Brexit; Britons are still happily planning their holidays, and going about their way until the government confirms what the changes will happen following Brexit. Despite the British pound being at its lowest point in years, people are still taking advantage of cheap flights and the travel industry’s worries about cautious travelers.

Even with the aforementioned concerns, it seems the travel industry in particular is still able to respond to increased demand from different sectors. Travelers may be a bit more careful, but they haven’t stopped traveling. There are markets that were thought to be saturated, for example, Europe. But people are still very interested in travelling to Europe; especially as some lesser visited countries like Latvia, Slovenia, and Slovakia are becoming more popular and are very affordable.

Monarch is right on trend with routes to places that are popular, but not generally the first place someone may think of when they want to get away. These places are popular but low key and should continue to show growth and interest from customers.
