Qatar Airways and British Airways Set to Rule the Skies in latest Joint Venture

British Airways and Qatar Airways have joined, thus creating a great alliance for access through the gateway that is the Middle East and further destinations. Qatar and British Airways, both under parent company, (IAG International Airline Group) are pretty much legacy airline under their own power.

The joint venture will allow both airlines to continue to do what they both do best, and that is excelling at customer service and providing an exceptional flight experience in particular to long haul destinations.

Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways’ chief executive says that customers should expect to enjoy a wider choice of flights, enhanced network, competitive fares, including other benefits for members of their frequent flier programmes.
This partnership allows passengers to enjoy better links, as well as a superior and seamless travel experience between the UK, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
John Strickland, an aviation consultant, confirms that Mr. Al Baker had for long expressed his desire to strike a deal with BA, adding: “The core value is the flexibility to jointly plan and price capacity via Qatar’s Doha hub.”
Qatar Airways and British Airways will now code-share on all non-stop flights between the UK and Doha, Qatar, thus offering their customers a combined route network for more than 70 destinations.
Customers can now enjoy seven non-stop services between the airlines’ hubs of London and Doha, in both directions.

With the history and charisma behind both names, but more specifically, that of British Airways, both airline customers can look forward to an even better flying experience created by those in the aviation industry who still care what a passenger’s flying experience is like.
