Travel Surge despite Brussels Attacks

In light of the recent Brussels attacks, one would think people would be more afraid to travel. But that isn’t the case. Britons traveled in droves this Easter weekend and the only things of note were the increased police presence at London’s airports as well as some of the major train stations, and international hubs in and out of the country.

Despite the video release by alleged Isis members, threatening London, until the video is confirmed to be from the group, Britons will carry on as usual. According to a few natives, it is anti-British to let such things stop you from going about your day. They trust the government is doing what’s necessary to protect them, and as they are known the world over, they must “keep calm and carry on.”

With their usual stiff upper lips, Britons are not going to let a threat stop them from living their lives, taking holidays and enjoying life. So for those of you, who may fear travel, don’t. Just appreciate your ability to be free to travel, and to inject some humor into the situation, let’s not forget the ability to moan and whinge as travelers!

Besides the usual holiday crush and longer wait times than normal, most of the airport news for today is relatively quiet. So if you are returning from your journey, we welcome you back, and if you are off to another holiday adventure, enjoy and we look forward to welcoming you back.
