British Airways Announces New Flight Plans for Gatwick

 

 

British Airways has announced major plans to increase its flight schedules from Gatwick airport. The airline is set to add flights to the existing popular destinations from Gatwick. It also plans on adding new routes with potential customers. The airline said the plans would be the biggest summer launch the airline has ever done.  The first phase of their plan already began on March 30th 2014, when the airline introduced daily flights from Gatwick airport to Malta.

The airport also unveiled plans of flying to Jersey from Monday to Friday, in order to access the growing number of travellers from that region. The British airways will also introduce new extra flights to places like Marrakech, Salzburg and Catania. Apart from introduction of new flights, the airline has plans to increase number of trips to routes that are already in use. Flights to places like Cyprus, Larnaca, Albania and Tirana are set to increase from the current three times a week to five times a week.

The airline will fly from Gatwick airport to Faro Fourteen times a week instead of the eight trips it currently makes. Trips to Naples, Italy will also increase significantly from fourteen flights to seventeen flights each week. Flights to Grenada will increase to two trips every week while that heading to Antigua will be increased to six flights every week. The airline announced that flight services from St. Lucia will be on every day of the week. Flight to Kingston from Gatwick will be increased from three flights a week to four flights a week. Flights from Gatwick to Orlando will be increased from ten to thirteen flights every week.

 The airline said that the existing long haul services will be boosted by adding the number of flights that will be heading to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic from two to three flights a week.
