More on Brexit Effects on Travel continued

Yesterday’s article concluded with Brexit effects on currency. Today we will finish with a few more of the projected effects of Brexit.

Travel Package Protection

The EU currently has this set up especially to protect consumers from click through fraud. Britain’s exit from this wouldn’t change this, as they already have their own laws set up to protect consumers.

Security

Despite the fear of increase in security risks, most agree that Britain’s exit from the EU wouldn’t have much effect in this aspect of travel. Britain already has several security measures in place and is already considered one of the most secure and safe places in the EU. So an exit wouldn’t change much for the UK at all.

Laws

This is where is begins to get dicey. When one compares the laws of the EU with those of the UK, they are aligned. The problem the UK has with the EU is feeling they have little choice and they often feel underrepresented in Brussels. Most Britains wouldn’t mind staying in the EU, they just think some of the rules and regulations need to be more aligned to suit all parties involved.

Despite all of the talk about the benefits and the negatives, it seems that the major concern boils down to paperwork. Almost all of the people involved agree that a Brexit would be a nightmare of paperwork as there would be many rules to review, and loads of negotiations for those involved. Most of them don’t want to have to negotiate new rules and regulations for every European country, it is a task that is daunting at its best.
