The Jury is out as the world’s best Long haul airline is chosen

Readers of the telegraph have once again given their verdict on rankings in the long haul air travel industry. The telegraph holds this ranking every year and this year the results have been touted to be the most comprehensive of the surveys they have ever done.

Three years in a row winner of the best long haul airlines as voted by the survey, Singapore airlines, once again emerged top. Singapore airlines operating the massively popular Airbus A380 has cemented its position as a favourite of the telegraph readers. Singapore airlines operating from Changi International airport was the first airline to commercially fly the airbus A380 and has since maintained its onboard service above its competitors. Its economy class is most liked for its extra legroom and frequent flyer cargo benefits at Singapore airlines hub. Business class is a cut above the rest.  In fact, it rivals first class cabins in other airlines. Having a 1-2-1 seat arrangement, it is as spacious as space can allow. Finally the first class suites are a good definition of luxury flying.

Runners up were Emirates which is currently the largest airline in the long-haul category by kilometres flow. Emirates operate from the busiest airport in the world, Dubai international airport. The airline is enjoying the benefits of a dedicated A380 terminal at Dubai International Airport. Third runners up were Virgin airlines. Despite the airline having some hard times during the recession, the crew’s exceptional service regime has made the airline achieve this feat. With improving economic conditions and additional Boeing 787s, Virgin Atlantic could well be the most preferred long haul airline next year.

Other airlines in the top ten are; British airways, Air New Zealand, Etihad, Cathay Pacific, Qatar airways, Thai airways and EVA air.
